Wedding

Hi we have decided to get married next year in protaras although have not booked yet as the tour operators have not released the prices yet. I was just wondering if anyone would have some advice on hotels in the protaras area?

I was thinking of staying at the vrissiana hotel and getting married in the town hall and having my reception in a restaraunt near by also would anyone be able to recommened a restaraunt?

Also I wouldnt mind getting married in a hotel.

Many Thanks

Nat

We got married last friday at paralimni town hall, it was lovely, if you want to get married in a hotel, it%26#39;s an extra 400 euro%26#39;s for the registra to come out to the venue. we had our reception at the Yianna Marie, it was lovely and overlooked the sea, they also put on a bouncy castle for the kids.

Hi Cazza

I would say that you were ripped off then the charge for the registrar to attend a venue outside the Town Hall is €172.41 but the hotel will charge you anything from €300-€800 to use their facilities.

We wern%26#39;t ripped off at all, like I said, we got married in the town hall, which is a lovely venue, there was no way we were going to pay that price for a 15 minute ceremony just for the privelige of having it in a hotel outside. We had our photo%26#39;s taken at St Nicholas church by the harbour which was lovely.

just came back from protaras lots of weddings going on in the top hotels along the front capo bay vrissiana and sunrise beach its ok looks nice but not very private everyone can see you pick somewhere alot quieter for your ceremony.

That was another reason we didn%26#39;t do that. My friend did a few years ago, wedding photo%26#39;s were full of gawping people in bikini%26#39;s and shorts :-0

hi, in question to getting married in a hotel. contact all hotel wedding coordinators they offer better package deals than the tour operators. also many tour operators don%26#39;t let you know what time you get married until you arrive in Cyprus. many hotels have changed there policies from years gone by with wedding photographs and people in bikinis. please research all venues before deciding on one straight away. talk to the coordinators, ask questions they will only be too happy to help.
