hi,
Have booked flights to cyprus ( larnaca airport ) for 26th to 31st dec.
Am travelling with my partner and 6 year old son am looking for a relaxing time no bars or clubs and hoping to book self catering so not bothered about resturants. am planning to hire a car and dont mind having to drive. i realise that the weather might be a bit iffy at this time of year ( at least it will be warmer than the uk ).
where is the best place to stay ie limossol / larnaca or drive over to the other side of the island / looking for the real cypru but want to be a walk away from a beach .
Thanx

You%26#39;ll have to go south or north Cyprus. You would need special papers to cross the border. For that time of year it will be a matter of finding places open as many places shut when the tourist season ends. Weather is not usually that cold but it can be wet and windy. Most people head for the Canary Islands that time of year for a bit of sun.

You do not need any %26#39;special papers%26#39; to travel to the North from the South of Cyprus. Just your passport.
If you stay in a busy town like Larnaca or Limassol you will find almost everything stays open.
I%26#39;ve spent the last 3 christmasses here and was sitting outside eating my christmas dinner last year!
It doesn%26#39;t usually start getting very chilly until after Xmas.
