wedding Nissi Beach Hotel

Hi,

We have booked to have our wedding at the Nissi Beach Hotel in Sept 2010.

We were gutted to find out that the Rondavel was fully booked and have been offered to have our reception at the Thalassa. Can anyone tell me what this area is like for a reception and how many people it would hold. We were told at first it would hold around 20 guests but we have more than this planning to come, we were then told it would hold 30 but the numbers keep rising and I think we may have a few more than 30 coming now so I%26#39;m a bit concered there won%26#39;t be enough room! Help!

We got married at the Nissi Beach Hotel in July and it was amazing. We had the rondavel but we had a good look around at the other 2 venues and we were suprised how lovely they were. The Thalassa was very private and over looks the gardens and the Sea and was perfect. I%26#39;m sure you would get 30 in there easily but check with the hotel. We also saw one wedding have their reception in the restaurant area which was closed at the time it must have been about 5 ish. They had gone to a lot of trouble Haging white drapes and putting table centres out it was really nice.

I shouldn%26#39;t worry at all Nissi Beach is possibly the best place on earth to get married. Any Doubt see out wedding video on line at www.yourweddingvideocyprus.com who I would definately recommend and youtube.

Hi Lisa,

Have you contacted Marios at the hotel, he is very helpful?

What about the Pelican beach bar, it looks similar to the Rondeval, on the beachfront with plenty of room for your guests.

What date in Sept is you wedding? I am getting married on 24th Sept 2010 at Nissi Beach.

Where are you having your reception? How many guests will you have?

Thanks, I will contact Marios about the Pelican, its so difficult when you don%26#39;t know exactly how many guests there will be there, we keep getting more and more people saying that they are coming but I have a feeling when the time comes there will be a few who won%26#39;t be able to make it.

Thanks for the wedding video link, it looks lovely! Was that your wedding? If so did you have your hair done at the hotel as it was really nice.

I will contact Marios to see if we could possibly get a different venu for our reception as we have nearner 40 guests coming now with maybe even a few more.

Thats great, nice to speak to someone who will be out there at the same time. Would be nice to keep in touch to discuss how our plans are going.

We have booked the Rondeval for our reception, but we have had it booked for a long time. At the minute we definately have 30 guests, but there is about another 20 that say they are coming, but we will wait and see if they book.

what have you got booked upto now? We have booked the hotel (fly out on 19 Sept), photographer and dvd. Looking into flowers, cakes, hairdressers etc....

It will be great to have someone else to discuss plans with, I cant believe it%26#39;s only a year away now!

Marios e-mailed me back to say the Thalassa can hold up to 70 people so thats a relief. You are lucky to have the Rondavel, we were just too late in booking.

We have just about everything booked, we are using Aphrodite wedding services to organise everything, they have been great. They gave us a list with a whole range of different things to choose from, you just tick everything you want and they deal with it for you.

We got married on 2nd June this year at the Nissi and had our reception at the Pelican Bar.

It was lovely. It doesn%26#39;t look much through the day but once its decorated then it looks great. You are right on the beach with it as well and its totally private. There is also an indoor part of it which has some games in so if you%26#39;ve got kids going as well then this keeps them entertained.

You do have to pay extra for it but its well worth it.

I also had my hair done in the hotel by Anna and she if just lovely. She done mine and two of my bridesmaids and it just made the day as they make you feel so relaxed.

Everyone if very friendly and helpful and Marios is everything and more that people on here say about him. he will help you as much as he can and he won%26#39;t let you get more than what you need. He is definately not out to rip you off.

You%26#39;ll have a fantastic time.
