Napa in November - Help please!!!

Afternoon All,

Taking my new-wife to cyprus for her 25th Birthday next month (5th - 9th) and I%26#39;m still pondering whether to stay in Ayia Napa at the Asterias Hotel or in Larnaca at the Lordos Beach Hotel. I%26#39;m undecided as Ayia Napa is more expensive to get to, ut hotel is nicer and cheaper. Larnaca is close by, but not as nice.

We just came back from a honeymoon in Kuala Lumpur and Bali so we%26#39;ve spoiled by 5 star hotels, amazing breakfasts and cheap travel around the Island. So, don%26#39;t it to be too much of a difference in quality, it already is just being Cyprus.

So questions I need answering please

1. Ayia Napa or Larnaca (Thinking Napa due to more things to do / more likely restaurants will be open in November)

2. Cheapest way to get from Larnaca airport to Ayia Napa

3. Weather in November?

Thanks in advance for all your help, much appreciated.

hi I think you will find napa ,protaras.will be dead in november, as alot of places on the east coast close for the winter, the weather should still be warm but colder at night ,not to sure about taxi fare i think it is around 60 euro each way or you could try paphos there should still be quite alot open there, most places in larnaca should be open julie

the asterias is one of the few hotels open in the winter but it is a way out of town, so you would need to get taxi%26#39;s in to the town centre, on top of that - as mentioned, very few places will be open in ayia napa at that time. Many of the bars have closed already.

you will find several bars on nissi avenue and by the harbour area open but very few people about and it will probably be too quiet for you.

the stareias hotel is an average 4 star, nothing fancy so if you%26#39;re used to 5* hotels you may not find it all that great either.

in larnaca everything will still be open as it is a year round resort. depending where you are in larnaca - if you are on the %26#39;dhekelia road%26#39; strip (where the lordos beach, palm beach, golden bay, sandy bay etc hotels are) then there are several bars and restauarants here and its fairly busy. if you are in the town itself, then there is a huge choice of places to go but they will be less touristy.

hope this helps

Thank you so much for that response.

That is one of the most informative responses I%26#39;ve had and has persuaded me to book a place there - I was still looking at Napa until I read this. I%26#39;ll definitely go to Larnaca now, at least we%26#39;ll have something to do in the evenings, plus cheaper Taxi to/from the airport.

I just pray the Lordos Beach Hotel in Larnaca is decent. We%26#39;re not really into clubbing, but at lease some decent restaurants / bars would be nice for the evenings.

Thank You
