is paphos a good area to explore on foot ie 3 or 4hr walks

You may be better advised to head out towards Polis/Latchi/Akamas area- about an hour or so from Paphos. Lots of walkers/birdwatchers etc come to this area in spring and the tourist info have details of walks.

you can walk from behind the old fort to coral bay or vice versa,you should be able to get free leaflets on walks from the tourist info on the harbour, when we were staying in the queens we just turned down any road to get off the track.
