Many thanks

Hi Sara,

Have been to Cyprus in october a couple of times and found in hot but it can get a little windy at night on the eastern side. you may need a cardie in the evenings but overall it should be in the mid 20%26#39;s day time which is great for getting about.

Hope this helps

Hi Sara, we went last October, and are going again this October on 21st. Weather last year was gorgeous. Staying in Paphos. We didin%26#39;t need a cardi or jumper at night, and we were still swimming in the sea on 1st November. Temps were about 26 - 28. Just right for me!

Weather this year is a different pattern to last year, last year very dry first rain I recall was mid-October but this year we have already received the average rainfall for the whole year and it is little cooler than last year.

Rains tends to be heavy, short lived, thunder and lightning as well but most of the time it is sunny. It is getting cooler at night so to pack an extra layer would be sensible.

Perhaps biased as I have spent some hours in the sun chopping cutting wood ready for my log stove but do not expect to light it until mid - late November.

Just returned from Akti beach Paphos temp 32 Deg not a cloud Oct is always the best month to go to Cyprus. If you have any rain it will be a local thunderstorm and will pass quickly by.

Hi Sara,

Just returned from Paphos yesterday, I was staying in the village of Psathi which is in the hills above Paphos town and usually cooler than in the resort. However, the temp rose above 30 degrees everyday during the past week. The average temp at this time of year should be in the high twenties and I received a call from my relatives today confirming another hot day.

There was a slight breeze a couple of evenings but it was still nice and warm.

Expect anything this year. We have been to Cyprus at all times of year but always go in September and until this year had never had rain during that visit. This year when we landed at Paphos it was like landing in Gatwick. The sky was grey and heavy and the taxi driver showed us his car and said it had been raining mud (because it had been dusty). That evening the heavens opened and it rained in sheets. We had odd patches of cloud throughout the first week and then went to visit some Cypriot friends on the following weekend and when sitting in their garden it blew up and becmae very windy and we had a few spots of rain but when we got back to the hotel everything on the balcony was soaking wet and it had rained heavily there. At that time it was in the newspaper that they had already had a years rainfall, I think the weather is doing strange things this year. Our friends said it was always unsettled just after an earthquake, which incidentally happened when we were there it didn%26#39;t worry us though. Who knows you may be very lucky as normally it would be good weather in October.
