Places to stay near the Sunrise Hotel

My brother is getting married in September 2010 at the Sunrise hotel in Protaras.

I%26#39;m checking out prices of places to stay in protaras and wondered if anybody can tell me places that may be nearby?

Some people have already booked into the Brilliant apartments but they seem a bit pricey. One I%26#39;ve seen (Hotel Papantonia) is around £60 cheaper per person but I%26#39;m not sure how far away it is from Sunrise %26amp; Brilliant.

Any information on places within walking distance (around a mile or so) would be much appreciated

Sunrise beach and the Brilliant Apartments are in Protaras www.brillianthotelapts.com/images/MapProt.jpg

They are about half way along the main two roads of Protaras itself (one on the top road, one on the main front road)

The Papantonia is in Pernera ! This is about a 20-30 minute walk along the new Coastal path from the beach.

When you get to the Pernera end of it come off the path where the Blue Spice Restaurant is and up the left hand road passing the Anastasia.. upto the little taxi kiosk on the left and turn down that road (you should see the Spectrum bar on the right) ..you follow the road about 100m and turn left, the Papantonia is down there...

Have a look at the Vangelis Apartments. Not sure about prices, but they would be near to Sunrise Hotel

The Vangelis Apartments are indeed opposite the Sunrise Beach, we stayed there for 2 weeks in early September and we thought they were fine.

However not sure that the Vangelis would be much difference in price from the Brilliant Apartments.

We also quite liked the Andreotti Apartments, I%26#39;d guess they%26#39;re approximately 3/4 mile from Sunrise Beach (maybe a 10 minute walk). I think these would be cheaper than the Brilliant and are available through Thomascook I think.

Hi, ive booked the Sandra for next, and there close to the sunrise, im going out on the 12th september 2010 my tenth time in protaras love it

Out of interest how far is Pernera from the Sunrise/Brilliant apartments? Walking/cost in a taxi.

If you take the the costal path i would say about 20 minutes steady, and 3 or 4 in a taxi not sure about price but woult say 6 euros ish

vangelis apps are very good location is sooooo good 5 minutes from beach 1 minute from shops restaraunts and bars, if you like a late drink though the bar shuts at 12 oclock . really nice food if you eat at vangellis, hope this helps.
