Fast food in Paphos

Hi there

I don%26#39;t mean your McDonalds or stuff, but can anyone recommend s good Cypriot fast food place? A couple of years ago on a Greek island, we found the Greek equivalent of your local chippy, where they served %26quot;gyro%26#39;s%26quot; to die for and really cheap - any advise?

Somweher open late Sunday night would be good please folks as landing at 8.40 so prob in digs about 10?

All depends on where you are stopping in Paphos. We like gyros from Mr Tasty who is at the top of bar street (the Almyra Hotel end). There is another good shop across from the Russian Fruit Market on Mr Chicken Road (if you are familiar with Paphos) that has opened this year and is very busy with the locals. Can recommend that one too.

I know Bar St - esp the fountain end - but remind me please where is the Mr Chicken Rd and the Russ Fruit Mkt...

Funnily enough while in Crete earlier this year the locals were eating and recommending gyros as a cheap but v good meal.

If you are driving along the dual carriageway from the airport end of Paphos towards Tombs of the Kings, Mr Chicken Road is a right turn at the traffic lights where there is a large church on the LHS in front of you. The Tyrimos restaurant which does an excellent fish meze is also on this road.

Yeah the %26quot;large church%26quot;. Know it well. We stayed near there some years back when they were building it. Nuff Said.
