public holidays

please help! are the supermarkets open on 1st october? Its a public holiday and we land the night before. We can eat out but will need the basicis coffee tea etc

if its a public holiday its likely most will be shut, possibly bakers will still be open... but can%26#39;t be sure as I can%26#39;t find anything for definate....

I suppose you could try emailing some of the local places?

Orphanides will be shut but the supermarkets in the tourists resorts will still be open, although some will probably close early.you will always find at least one kiosk whcih will supply the basics which will be open all day every day, so don%26#39;t panic, you will be able to find places open to buy things.
