Nice wine & restaurants ??

Of to Cyprus soon, staying in Tala.

Any comments on nice restaurants ??

Can you also recommend nice white wine

( from supermarket ).

If you like dry wine three local ones that we like are

Aprhodite

Alkion

Thisbe

You usaully pay about 3.50 to 5 euros for a bottle of these.

Even so 5 euros = ~£5.

Many folk do not pay £5 for a bottle of wine at home. We often get the 3 for £10 deals.

And these are supermarket prices.

I suppose yer lookin%26#39; at €15 in a restaurant.

You can get wine in carton too (no I%26#39;m not joking!!!). This is much cheaper but onlr tatses good after you have had afew!!!!

minniefiona, yeah I%26#39;ve tried those cartons of wine - I prefer the red - and you know what, while sitting round a pool reading yer library book with yer headphones on soaking up the sun - it dun %26#39;arf taste good.

In my opinion the best restaurant in Cyprus.

You would probably walk straight past it if you did not know what fantastic food they have.

We can recommend Melitiza Restaurant in Tala just off the village square - always had an excellent meal there and the view over Paphos is beautiful

We also love Melitiza Restaurant in Tala....beautiful views and friendly service....ask what they reccommend for the evening and that%26#39;s usually a good choice!
