Cyprus has not yet suffered the loss of petrol stations that has happened in UK. I do not think I have seen one on any motorway but many junctions have signposts to the nearest one which is usually not very far. I live in a rural area and there 3 still in the local villages.

Stations are normally not self service during the working day, out of hours nearly every station has a credit card / note operating pump with instructions in several languages. Prices are lower than UK around €0.93 at the moment, they change frequently up as well as down.

Don%26#39;t worry, you will see them. As mentioned, stations are not self-service except on Sunday. Some are manned (womanned??) by very pretty attendants. You tell them what you want and pay them directly. If you are on the highway and need to tank, look for the sign which says %26#39;Service%26#39; whenever an exit comes up. Then check that there is a benzin pump symbol which means there is a station somewhere. It may not be just off the exit. We once drove all the way into a village and almost out through the other end before seeing it. In Protaras and Pafos you will have no problem as these are tourist areas. However, I don%26#39;t recall seeing big stations up in the mountains. They are probably small things which I didn%26#39;t pay attention to. May be a good idea to tank before you go up into Troodos.
