Hello everyone,
I have a question, maybe some of you have been in the same situation. We are going to Ayia Napa in a couple of days and we had some problems with booking the accommodation and we are thinking of going there and look directly at the site. Is that going to be a problem? I read that in Sept there will be less tourists. If so, where exactly should we begin our hotel search? An area with a lot of hotels, good location and cheap prices of course :) Thank you!

What sort of price range are you looking at paying?
|||
We were thinking not more than 60€/double room/night.
|||
It will be difficult to find a hotel at this price range. You might easier get a hotel apartment on a self-catering basis. You can try Senator, Euronapa or Thalassaki. I ´m sure others will have to propose some more places.
|||
Most self catering apartments are currently on the low season rate of around €42 per room per night so if you don%26#39;t mind self catering you will get something for this price.
however you will probably get the rooms cheaper if you book before you go as the big internet accommodation companies get reduced rates due to the number of rooms they book. Booking direct with the hotel often means you will pay more as their rates are set with the tourist board and can%26#39;t be negotiated.
for example in april I booked a room at the vias apartments for £14 per night through hotels4u and if we had just gone to the hotel and booked with them it would have been €44 a night.

Then, it seems I have been misinformed? I have read, don%26#39;t remember if here or someplace else, that if you go there the prices would be if not the same, then even cheaper, due to the fact that the hotels are more than willing to get you as a guest, especially in September. Anyways we will go like this now and try one of the places above, if not we will pay a bigger price, better than sleeping on the street :) Will post what we have been through when I get back, as info for others that might be in the same situation in the future.
Thank you all and still waiting for other suggestions if any one has any!

We booked our hotel through alpharooms.com and paid £438 for 10 nights B%26amp;B at the Napa Plaza.
