what is the weather like in february and is it still lively

Weather in February will generally be fairly cold but out of the wind and in the sun it will be pleasant, T shirts are certainly possible but so is a warm coat. Rain is very likely but will generally be in reasonably short but heavy bursts but could last a day or two. Troodos will have snow and skiing should be available.

As for lively not everything will be open but there will be a range of activities as there is local population to be served and people do come here as it is far better weather than North Europe.

Not the best month to go to Cyprus but the weather will certainly be better than here. We have been in February before and as Fred says you can be in a coat or sunbathing in a sheltered spot all in the same day. Limassol is a thriving town so there there is always something to do. Not too many tourists though in February. I just feel to see it at its best you need to go a bit later in the year even the end of March beginning of April would be better.
