Me and my girlfreind are desperate to escape the wet weatehr of UK for somewhere hot and sunny just before Winter sets in.
We%26#39;ve booked to go to Protaras Cypus for the 21 Oct for a week due to busy work shedules. But after researching on the web we%26#39;re worried we wont catch the sun by the end of Oct.
Can anyone who%26#39;s been to Protaras at the end of the summer season give us soem advice on what to expect? just give us a glimmer of hope that we%26#39;ll have some summer fun in the sun and have our tans topped before we come home.
Thanks

Yes you will be able to tan. The days are much shorter and the evenings start to cool down but even so its still pleasant tanning weather. You might get some rain but shouldn%26#39;t last long if it does. Protaras will be quiet towards the end of October with most places closing down at the very end of October. At least you will have plenty of space on the beach - Fig Tree Bay is lovely at that time of year. Sea still warm enough for swimming but hotel pools will be getting cold.

Places will definitely still be open, just not pumping like they can be in the summer. We went in October in 2007 and had a lovely week, no rain at all. I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll have a great time.

Surprisingly and most unseasonal there has been quite a bit of rain in September. Hope it all goes away for the 1st October - I will be devasted if I see any more rain for 2 weeks!

We always go to the area in late October to lock our property up for the winter and have had glorious weather most years. As has already been said the days are a little shorter but still very warm and very easy to tan as it%26#39;s not raging hot.
