Euro exchange rate

Hiya

We are off to Ayia Napa on Sunday to get married and money is very thight unfortunately. I have been wacthing the euro and over a couple of months it climbed to about 1.14 which was okay and in 2 weeks it is now at 1.04. I am totally devestated as we are going to be eating into our spending money which we dont have much of anyway to pay or the extra photos we want for the wedding as we wont have family or friends there and so we want to be able to show them our day.

I was just wondering if it is worth changing our money when we get there or if the rate is pretty much the same? We are staying at the Napa Plaza hotel.

99% of the time you always get a better rate in Ayia Napa itself.

There are 2 good exchange places near you, the first is %26quot;The Hut%26quot; it%26#39;s on the opposite side if the road to the Plaza a little further down near KFC and the taxi rank, you can%26#39;t miss it it%26#39;s just a small wooden hut.

If you carry on to the traffic lights and turn right up Nissi Avenue on your right is a small travel agent/scooter hire shop right next to the Anthea Hotel, he usually offers the best rates and is pretty popular with regulars.

Yes, you do get a better rate over there. We use one on Nissi Ave.

If you turn right onto Nissi Ave at the traffic lights, you a little further up the road on the right just after the gift shop and before a supermarket you will see an exchange booth. Can%26#39;t really miss it, they have a board out with the rates.

We%26#39;ve always found them to have the best rate in Napa and no commission!

I fly out tomorrow and just taking the bare mimimum of euros to see me over the first day but the rest I%26#39;m taking in sterling. Hopefully the rate will be better over there. Wish I bought when it was at 1.14 but I didn%26#39;t think it would drop to its current rate.

No it had climbed for a few months then dropped loads! I think I will deffo be taking some euros but will chnage the rest out there. I am a little worried tho as we have to take more than just spending money as got to pay for photos etc. Dont wanna lose it!!!

just got back saturday and the rate was falling every day,it started at 1.07 i had some sterling with me and got a much better rate using that ,instead of using travellers cheques
