Cocktail & wine!!

Hiya

We are off to Ayia Napa for 10 nights on 4th october. I aint very happy as the euro exchange built up and has dropped lots in less than 2 weeks! I am hoping it stabilises or goes up a little between now and then.

I was just wondering if anyone can give me ideas on the cost of wine %26amp; cocktails in Ayia Napa. I know the local beers are the cheapest but I cant bring myself to drink anything like this!

Cocktails vary depending on where your drinking but roughly between €4-6 a good cocktail bar with a huge choice of good cocktails is Liquid Bar which is next door to Sage restaurant. The bar at your hotel %26quot;Peppers%26quot; also do cocktails but they%26#39;re on the expensive side at about €8-10.

Again wine varies depending on whether it%26#39;s local or not you can pay as little as €1.50 per glass right up to €8 and bottles vary too depending on the type and also the restaurant but many of the restaurants do fixed menus or a Meze and these usually include house wine in the price.

a lot of bars have specials on cocktails now as it is getting quieter.

recent offers -

sea cavern - buy one get one free - prices from €2.50 to €5 if you want your cocktail served in a whole grapefruit. (thats for the 2 cocktails)

simos magic - cocktails from €2

flaskia (next to carwash) they were doing €1 cocktails last week, then our 2nd one was €2. they also had an hour free bar for €10.

tommys and golden arrow - both do 3 litres for about €20. flybar does a fish bowl for €20.

jello - €3 before 8pm

most of the bars down by the harbour and from the fuzzy duck up to paddys have offers on where its either €2/€3 on cocktails or buy one get one free or something like that.

the only places you will pay more will be the main bars around the square and surrounding streets - from kahlua up to hollywood and around to the square most charge €5. and also in the new trendier places, like the ones outside napa plaza on the road by kfc.
