Personally TOTK does not rate with us = however, the Roman mosaics are well worth seeing (entrance is at the castle end of the harbour).

I enjoyed the Tombs of Kings, you could get round in anything from 30minutes to a more leisurely 2hours.

Why not get the bus or a taxi from C.Bay and spend a few hours at the tombs, harbour area for a drink or lunch then view the mosaics, which are also well worth seeing which I would give yourself at least an hour to see.

Obviously it%26#39;s difficult to say %26quot;how long%26quot; viewing would take as it depends on your individual level of interest.

Have fun!

Hiya,

TOTK are good to look at, not sure on entrance price but is only a couple of Euros.

True there is not a great deal to see, but you must use your imagination and think of the people who lived there at the time and tools and resources they had.

Paphos is full of historic architecture and monuments, not all require a fee.

We found St Paul%26#39;s Pillar on our last trip, just behind Debenhams off the Harbour.

The Adonis Baths have on previous forums been described as a rip off and a dirty pool.

It is true the entrance fee is a little more than a couple of Euros and the pool does look dirty, but that is the silt.

The baths are lovely and cool for a dip (unlike the baths of Aphrodite) in the summer months and very well shaded.

The journey up can be a little bumpy but that all adds to the charms of Cyprus.

The Mosaics at the Harbour are a must and the Kurion towards Limmassol is a must see.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

TOTK we thought was OK and worth a look. Cheap to get into by Cyprus standards. Fascinating to see how the well to do were buried compared to their less well-off family members.

Baths of Adonis again was OK. Pretty expensive to get into for what it actually is. Don%26#39;t expect the gushing waterfalls pictured on the leaflets unless shedloads of rain falls between now and your trip. The pool is heavily shaded, milky/silty in appearance and quite cool. At your own risk, you can jump from a pretty high ledge or swing into the pool from the trees. The best bit was the off-road drive to/from the baths!

I agree with what the others have said about the Mosaic Houses. We thought they were teriffic. Even the kids (10 %26amp; 12) enjoyed it and they don%26#39;t do %26#39;culchur%26#39;. Again, cheap %26amp; cheerful to get into. Definitely worth a visit if you have never been.

Also, if you haven%26#39;t been, Petra Tou Romiou is picturesque. About 30 min out of Paphos. Around the other side of the big rock is a long, uncrowded shingle beach. There are quite a few photo opportunities along that coast road.

Have a great trip.

Tomb of the kings was,in our opinion well worth a visit, not much shade there so take plenty of water,we went by the sightseeing bus.It returns in an hour so if you use it make sure that you keep track of the time.Mosaics were also very good.Wave Dancer boat trip was good value, but the highlight of our holiday was the jeep safari into the Troodos mountains,pm if you%26#39;d like details and price.

Enjoy your holiday,we went in August and spent most of our time in the pool,too.T.

We hated Adonis Baths - when we visited it was a pool of stagnant water which was being circulated by pumps - dont go!!! It was that murky we refused to bathe in it.

Tombs of the Kings are worth a trip to see. It only costs a few euros to get in, but if you visit on sunday it is free entrance.

I went to TOTK on the last Sunday in August and it was not free entry. However, it%26#39;s less than e2 to get in. Bring loads of water, you%26#39;ll roast.

I would recommend it to someone who has an interest in ancient times, history etc. I%26#39;ve previously been to Athens, Ephesus, Petra, Cairo and Luxor so I was interested to see this.

Went to TOTK last - erm - wednesday i think. Was SO HOT we didn%26#39;t make it round eerything but what we did see we loved - €1.70 to get in each - really worth it - wear a hat and take gallons of water! they are actuaklly hotter inside!

Mosaics and Oden - again very hit but really really great to see. €3.70 each to get in.

If you have a car go up to the Last Castle - just a taverna but NIT just a taverna. Google it - amazing and on way stop at i think Lara for a swim- Lovely.
