Thinking of going to Cyprus, in June 2010, can anyone recommend a nice hotel 3+ or 4 * in good location (near beach, shops, restaurants etc...) but not too lively! Also what will the weather be like that time of year. Thanks for any replies.

The Napa Plaza hits all the spots as does the Nestor Hotel and the Fariones Hotel. I guess it depends what you want to spend. I%26#39;ve been going for 20+ years and have pretty much stayed in most areas and most accom ! The Napa Plaza is my favourite.
Ayia Napa is for want of a better expression on a large crossroads with 2 main roads - Nissi Avenue which runs from the traffic lights in the centre right along to the waterpark and Makarious avenue which crosses the lights and runs from the Centre of Napa to the harbour/main beach.
The further you stay along Nissi Avenue the further away from the centre you are and this would mean taxis or buses every night into the centre. All of the above are within walking distance. There are lots of places to stay though nearby. Best to check the prices

The Pavlo Napa Hotel is a great allinclusive hotel on Nissi Avenue. This hotel is about 20mins from the square which gives you peace and quite if you dont want to be to close to the lively bars and disco of the center Napa.
That said the Nissi area has loads of bars and resturants which are not so in your face, its like a mini resort in itself. You are also near Nissi Beach.
A taxi will cost you 8euro one way,but you can knock them down a bit.

Hi
Would agree with the Napa Plaza as it is central to eveything you need and I am booked to return there next year and as far as the weather is concerned in June it will be very hot
Would also try the Napa Mermaid which is about 10 to 15 minutes easy walk from the square straight across the road from a lovely stretch of beach
Regards Billy
