Public transport in Aiya Napa

Hi,

I am going 2 Napa in the next few weeks and was wondering how easy it is to get to other beaches eg. fig tree bay, konnos bay, protaras beach and any other nice ones? Also is there anyway of getting 2 Nicosia by bus? I was wondering if there is a bus service that takes you there and how much it is aprox?

Also wondering if it is expensive this year in general seen as the euro is so high?

Thank you for any help.

Eman run the local buses %26amp; they run the length of the coast all day. From the Waterpark at Ayia Napa right through to Pernera and back. Rough times are:

08:40 - 12:00 EVERY 20 MINUTES

12:00 - 16:00 EVERY 30 MINUTES

16:00 - 18:00 EVERY 20 MINUTES

18:00 - 20:00 EVERY 30 MINUTES

20:00 - 23:00 EVERY 60 MINUTES

They also run a bus Monday to Saturday from Ayia Napa to Nicosia. 1 bus out 1 bus back per day and the return fair is €15.00 their bus%26#39;s operate out of the main office opposite the Nestor Hotel/Seahorse Pub right next to the main traffic lights in Napa. Their website is - http://www.emantravel.com/

further to what is mentioned above - the bus actually goes all the way into paralimni village and costs €1.50 one way to any point along the route.

you can get off at the grecian park hotel stop and walk down the steps to konnos bay. there are a couple of small coves/bays past protaras and pernera which are quite nice too, get off at the golden coast hotel for sirena bay, there%26#39;s another very pretty one by the crystal springs hotel or get off at the stop after crystal springs for ayia triada beach.

Sorry to hijack just wanted to check how far Konnos bay is from the centre of Ayia Napa and how much on the bus?

Thanks

Konnos Bay isn%26#39;t near the Grecian Park Hotel, that beach is Grecian Bay.

Konnos Bay is about a mile east of the edge of Ayia Napa on the bottom coast road to Protaras. It%26#39;s a very sheltered beach not far from Cavo Greko and there%26#39;s a lot of steps to walk down to it....but worth the hike ;0)

A car or taxi is the best bet to get to it as the bus doesn%26#39;t stop close enough unfortunately, it will stop about 50 meters from the Konnos Bay apartments if you ask them. A taki would cost approx 10 Euro each way. It is signposted from the Protaras Road though (brown sign) The bus charge is the same fare regardless of how far you go along that whole stretch.

Deffo worth a trip as it%26#39;s very quiet, shallow lovely clear waters and the sunbeds on the beach double up as small floats in the water

it is the grecian park hotel - the grecian bay hotel and grecian sands hotel are on grecian bay beach, the grecian park is on konnos bay and its outside this hotel that the bus stops for konnos bay. the bus is €1.50 each way.

the bus driver usually shouts konnos bay and grecian park hotel so you should know when to get off but if unsure, its the first really big hotel you get to once you have left ayia napa, about 15 mins on the bus from the town.

Konnos bay is lovely, very pretty and they have these plastic sunloungers that you can take in the sea and they double up as lilo%26#39;s. i think they%26#39;re the only ones in cyprus.
