New Years week in Paphos

Coming to Cyprus/Paphos for the first time from 27th December for a week and wondering where to stay

Our main critiria

- Heated pool (we are going to assume the pessimistic weather forecast)

- Up to half hour walk from bars/restuaramts max

After a hard year of work, we want to chill out, read a few books , maybe see some sites (probably by local transport) and eat some nice local food.

Never been a fan too much of all inclusive deals although we may consider if advise is that most places are closed.

Any suggestions for great places to stay? Budget probably not too much of a consideration..

Hi,we stayed at Ledra Beach in August,it is ai and the food was very good We had children with us so chose to eat at the pool snack bar at lunchtime but think there was probably more choice in the restaurant.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay but found the temperature too high to walk far but taxis were quite reasonable.T.

The Amathus Beach is a super hotel. If it is too cold to go out the restaurants in the hotel are very good. It has an indoor pool and is within walking distance of everything you need.

If you want a quality hotel and don%26#39;t mind paying for one, check out the Aquamare Beach and Spa Hotel. On the same road as the two others mentioned, but smaller and more personal. Can highly recommend the food, service and surroundings. On the bus route into the harbour but you can walk there within your 30 min limit. It is quiet and chilled out, so if you wanted lots going on and plenty of entertainment I would say don%26#39;t bother, but from what you say I think it would suit you.
