We are staying in Bellapais in two weeks time and would like to drive to Famagusta one day. Can anyone tell me how long this will take and whether it is easy to find the old town and to park.

Yes very straight forward to drive to
Head to Nicosia from Kyrenia you will then hit a massive big roundabout, turn left and it%26#39;s a straight run all the way. Head for the old castle walls plenty of parking there

The previous advice gives the best road, however the better and more interesting drive is to leave Kyrenia travelling east and take the road over five finger mountain and this road meets the Nicosia to Famagusta road. When arriving at Famagusta turn right at the first roundabout travel about a mile to the next roundabout and straight across and on your left is the old walled city. Plenty of parking places within the walled city. If you dont turn left into the city but carry on along the road you will come to Palm Beach where you can see the abandoned hotels of Verosha. When you leave Famagusta if you drive North you will find the ancient site of Salamis and a bit further on the fishing village of Bogas. Both worth a visit if you have time.

Thank you both for your replies. Can%26#39;t wait now, really looking forward to our holiday in Bellapais which we visited for one day when we were staying in Alsancak in May.
