The beach is very rocky there unfortunately but your only approx 15 mins walking distance from Nissi Beach, which is safe and sandy. Or 15 mins to the main beach at Ayia Napa in the opposite direction.
The Waterpark is further up the road, probably too far to walk but you can catch the bus outside the Electra for 1.50 EU and it%26#39;ll take you into the Waterpark where it turns round and heads back along the coast, so no problem getting back either.
You could get a taxi for approx 5 EU.

Also meant to say there are 84 reviews on TA to trawl through if you haven%26#39;t already seen them:

To be honest I wouldn%26#39;t let the beach on your doorstep not being up to scratch stop you from going to the Electra.....especially if it%26#39;s a bargain ;o)
Your so close to Nissi beach that it wouldn%26#39;t be a problem. And to be honest the bus is cheap and regular enough to take you along to Macronissos Beach or even into town to the main beach.
The Electra%26#39;s in a good spot, the only alternatives if you wanted a beach on your doorstep would be to look in the centre or close to Nissi Beach. An alternative is to look in the Macronissos area, BUT that will definitly mean taxis and buses at night as it%26#39;s too far to walk into town, this of course all adds to the cost of you holiday, whereas the Electra is central enoughto walk pretty much evrywhere in the evening.
Another alternative is to look near Grecian Bay which is the opposite side of Ayia Napa heading towards Protaras. Lovely small sandy beach.
If you need some recommendations for hotels or apartments in wither Grecian bay or Macronissos area let me know.
