Hello,
We have booked a wedding %26amp; honeymoon in Paphos in May next year (Can%26#39;t wait!) I%26#39;d be extremely grateful if anyone can answer any of the following - thanks!
We%26#39;ve booked a fortnight at the Athena Royal Beach hotel (excellent reviews), and we have some family staying at the Pioneer - are these hotels far apart? How long would it take us to walk from one to the other?
Is there a promenade or safe path you can walk along at nights from these hotels to Pahpos harbour?
Would we also need to learn some Greek? We%26#39;d like to do a bit of exploring, seeing some of the ancient monuments, Troodos mountains, etc, so I%26#39;m guessing we%26#39;ll need to learn a few phrases. We have a simple phrase book - would that be enough to get us by?
Am really looking forward to coming to Cyprus. Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi
We stay at the Pioneer, it takes around 10 minutes to walk to the Athena Royal in the direction of the harbour. There is a coastal path which connects all the hotels in the area but at night its not fully lit all the way, would suggest you stick to the pathways at the front of the hotels.
As for learning Greek, its a great idea and good luck if you can, but everyone speaks English.

as mention in the last post Pioneer is about 10 mins walk, there is also a coastal path that runs along the back of all the hotels and quite nice with the breeze coming in from the sea.
If you want to speak abit of greek then by all means do, they would appreciate you taking the time but I would just stick to the good morning / good night etc etc

Hi
We returned from the Athena Royal last Sunday, had a great time once again! The Coastal Path is a lovely walk during the day but as said before a bit too dark at night especially after a night out!
A few words of Greek goes a long way, by the way!
Yiamas! (Cheers)
